The College of Medicine celebrates our faculty and staff's high-quality contributions. Faculty may be eligible for prestigious awards offered by the university that are open to all faculty, as well as those offered by the College of Medicine specifically for medical school faculty.
We encourage our faculty to familiarize themselves with this information, for the sake of their own candidacy and that of their colleagues, so that they can appropriately nominate (and self-nominate) deserving faculty members. In most cases, nomination is a relatively brief process and the majority of awards offered accept both nomination and self-nomination.
Also know that the Office of Faculty Affairs here at HWCOM endeavors to periodically review faculty rosters for potential candidates, and facilitate the nominations process through consultation with department chairs. As such, we encourage all faculty to maintain up-to-date profiles on Panther 180 and Interfolio, as we may sometimes consult this resources to identify potential candidates.
Listed below are some university and College of Medicine awards, with links to further information on their respective pages detailing eligibility criteria, stipend amounts (if any) and routes to nomination.
