Combined Degree Programs

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine offers the unique opportunity for medical students in the third period of medical study to apply to the combined MD and Healthcare MBA (MD/HCMBA), MD and Master of Public Health (MD/MPH), or the MD and Master of Science in Health Informatics and Analytics (MD/MSHIA) degree programs.

Combined degree students complete the first 3 years of coursework in the MD degree program at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. At the beginning of the fourth period of their medical study, students admitted to a combined program pause their medical studies and begin classes as part of the HCMBA, MPH, or MSHIA programs at the FIU College of Business or the FIU Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work.
