International Medical Student Program
The International Medical Student Program provides students with opportunities to collaborate, learn, and develop critical skills through clinical experiences with distinguished faculty members of Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. High-quality teaching, state-of-the-art research, cutting-edge technology, and innovative medical practices and techniques allow students to focus on medical specialties and best practices in U.S. health care systems.
We select highly motivated and responsible students for participation in the International Medical Student program, and place these students in rotations under supervision of some of South Florida's top physicians in inpatient and outpatient settings. A variety of 4-week elective rotations are offered. Qualified students are enrolled in electives on a first-come, first-served basis, and acceptance in rotations is subject to the student's qualifications and ability. At the completion of clinical rotations, each student receives a letter of completion and a clinical evaluation from his or her preceptors.
