Gloria Coronel-Couto teaches medical students at all levels, with a concentration in clinical skills and facilitating case-based and problem-based learning. In her role as the internal medicine clerkship assistant director, Coronel-Couto is responsible for coordinating clerkship sites, teaching students, and evaluating student performance. She is also an academic advisor for medical students.
Before joining the College of Medicine, Coronel-Couto was involved with the education of future physicians and assisted in building a thriving university-based private practice as a faculty member at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
