Biography
Gloria Coronel-Couto, M.D., teaches medical students at all levels, with a concentration in clinical skills and facilitating case-based and problem-based learning. In her role as the internal medicine clerkship assistant director, Dr. Coronel-Couto is responsible for coordinating clerkship sites, teaching students, and evaluating student performance. She is also an academic advisor for medical students.
Prior to HWCOM, Coronel-Couto was involved with the education of future physicians and assisted in building a thriving university-based private practice as a faculty member at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. A board-certified internist, she has a clinical practice at the FIU Health Faculty Group Practice.
