Dr. Tessa Haspil-Corgan is an emergency medicine physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She teaches clinical skills, community-engaged physician courses, Core Concepts in Medicine, and in the Surgery and Neurology Clerkships.
Haspil-Corgan serves on the College of Medicine Admissions Committee and is faculty advisor for the White Coats for Black Lives student interest group. She is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
Before joining FIU Medicine, she was a founding faculty member of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.
