What happens during the appointment process?

  1. Initial appointment communication by faculty, clerkship director, Chair, etc to Department Chair
  2. Chair reviews application documentation
  3. Chair submits application to HR & ADFD
  4. HR prepares & submits application to APT
  5. ADFD reviews & vets application
  6. APT reviews application for appropriateness, rank & track
  7. HR emails APT minutes to Chairs
  8. HR sends offer letter to faculty
  9. HR processes appointment (PantherSoft & Faculty Appointment Database)
