Dr. Georgeta Vaidean mentors research students and lectures in epidemiology/evidence-based medicine. She is the course director and teaches the Lifestyle Medicine elective and speaks at national and international forums on evidence-based lifestyle medicine, cardiovascular epidemiology, and behavioral cardiology.
Throughout her academic medicine career, Dr. Vaidean has designed and taught innovative courses in research methods for clinicians, integrated longitudinal courses, and designed and directed a school-wide student research experience. She has conducted cardiovascular epidemiology studies using ARIC, Framingham Heart Study, PONS, and other data and initiated multiple clinical research collaborations. She has experience overseeing clinical trial management in clinical research settings and providing patient counseling for behavioral changes and lifestyle medicine.
