Lea Sacca is a postdoctoral associate working on developing an implementation plan for the Green Family Foundation Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program, also known as NeighboroodHELP. She is collaborating on multiple publications related to the health outcomes addressed by the project.

In 2017, Sacca received a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue graduate studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. There she earned an MPH in Health Promotion Behavioral Sciences and a Certificate in Global Health. Sacca is a former board member of the Houston Global Health Collaborative and has extensive leadership experience in global health.

Research

Global Health, Refugee Health - Sacca’s research interests are focused on designing and implementing evidence-based interventions to improve the well-being of disadvantaged populations including refugees, immigrant women, ethnic minority adolescent groups, and American Indian/Alaska Native youth, specifically in the fields of sexual health, cancer prevention, HPV vaccination, food insecurity, and mental health.
