Dr. Carla Rabassa teaches medical students and supervises clinical training with a focus on acute care, prevention, and wellness. She treats a range of conditions and helps patients navigate life transitions through evidence-based, compassionate care.
Dr. Rabassa is the interim medical director of the FIU Health/Baptist Health Practice, where she also provides patient care. A board-certified internist, she brings more than 25 years of experience in primary care, inpatient medicine, emergency care, and palliative services.
She is a strong advocate for community health education, particularly within the Hispanic community. Through media appearances and public speaking engagements, Rabassa has served as a medical expert on topics such as Latino health, diabetes, heart disease, women’s health, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
