Dr. Carla Rabassa is a board-certified internist with 25 years of experience in primary care, inpatient, emergency, and palliative care services.

In addition to teaching medical students, she serves as the interim medical director of FIU Health Faculty Group Practice on FIU’s main campus, where she also sees patients-- treating acute medical illnesses, promoting prevention through wellness coaching, and guiding patients through life’s transitions.

Dr. Rabassa believes in the power of community outreach, using media and public speaking to inform and educate the Hispanic community locally and nationally. She has served as a medical expert on panels discussing issues such as Latino health, diabetes, heart disease, women’s health, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
