Ramiro Perez, Jr., M.D., is a double-board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and general surgeon. In addition to his role as medical director of the physician assistant program, he teaches students in the M.D. program and the International Medical Student Program.

Before FIU, he served as medical director for the Miami-Dade College Physician Assistant Program from 2014 to 2021.

Dr. Perez has a private practice in Miami with a particular interest in complex reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a former president of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons.
