Nathaly Shoua Desmarais oversees student personal and academic counseling, helps coordinate health and wellbeing programs, and serves as a resource for students who need guidance and assistance during their medical journey.

She also serves as chair of the FIU Medicine Liaison Committee for the FIU Disability Resource Center. She is an active member of the Association of American Medical Colleges Group on Student Affairs.

Areas of Interest

Medical student mental health, physician wellbeing and suicidality, professional wellbeing for faculty and staff, and factors impacting academic success in medical students and residents.
