David Parsa Marciano is an assistant professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the Florida International University Center for Translational Science in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. The Marciano Laboratory is focused on investigating mechanisms of extracellular vesicle signaling in the vasculature and their application as therapeutics, biomarkers, and molecular tools.
Marciano completed his postdoctoral training at the Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Genetics. His work on cellular metabolism and extracellular vesicle signaling was recognized with the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Services Award (NIH NRSA F32) and the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00). He received his Ph.D. in chemical biology from The Scripps Research Institute and his BS in physics from UC San Diego.
