Alina Perez-Stable joined FIU HWCOM in 2007, where she participated in the development and launch of Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP. Perez-Stable’s current scope includes new initiatives and special projects, marketing and communication, grants management, and other key areas.
She began her career as a social worker with Jackson Health Systems, providing services to patients in medical and surgical units. Perez-Stable then continued with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as program administrator for the Primary Care Medicine Residency track. She joined Dr. Pedro J. Greer, Jr., founder of Camillus Health Concern, Inc. (CHC), to create and establish CHC, a community-based health center for persons who are homeless. Perez-Stable was instrumental in integrating a patient-centered, interdisciplinary team approach to CHC’s health care delivery model. She was hired as Case Management Supervisor for the center, and after having held various positions, appointed as Executive Director. Perez-Stable has a Bachelor's and a Master's in Social Work from Florida State University.
