Aron Berkman, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Aron Berkman serves as co-director of the hematopoietic systems and end-of-life care courses at the College of Medicine. He mentors students interested in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology, and advises the Oncology Interest Group and the Jewish Student Medical Association. He has participated in clinical trials involving novel therapies for small cell lung cancer and other malignancies, with his work published in leading journals and presented at national and international conferences.

Dr. Berkman is the founding chief of medical oncology at the FIU Health Faculty Group Practice. He practices hematology and primary care, treating all solid tumors and lymphoma, and has extensive experience diagnosing and managing hematologic disorders.
