The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine has appointed Dr. Gregory Schneider as associate dean of Curriculum and Medical Education.
In this role, Schneider will lead our M.D. program's strategic direction, management, and continuous quality improvement. He will also manage the operations, budgeting, and policy development of the Office of Medical Education while supporting strategic planning and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across programs.
Schneider is board-certified in Family Medicine and has taught medical students at all levels, focusing on clinical skills, ethics, and the social factors that influence health. Since returning to FIU Medicine last year, he has served as the interim associate dean for Faculty Development at the College of Medicine.
Schneider spent a decade teaching undergraduate liberal arts, earning tenure at a liberal arts college, and has practiced primary care in academic health, student health care, and community health center settings. He has over a decade of experience in medical education, most recently serving as the associate dean for Clinical Education at Roseman University College of Medicine.
