Congratulations to our 2025 Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) Honor Medical Society inductees.

This year, 26 exceptional medical students— four juniors and twenty-two seniors-- were honored for their outstanding academic achievement, professionalism, and commitment to service.

In addition, Dr. Ronald Tolchin received the AΩA Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award. Tolchin is a board-certified nonsurgical spine care physician, the chair of nonsurgical spine care and rehabilitation and the Kalman Bass Endowed Chair in Pain and Rehabilitative Medicine at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. He specializes in rehabilitation medicine, lower back pain and spine disorders.

AΩA recognizes scholarship and other values including honesty, ethics, dedication to serving others, and leadership. Nearly 75% of deans of U.S. medical schools are members of AΩA. The Florida Epsilon Chapter was founded at FIU in 2012.
