The Family Medicine Residency provides residents with a rich and personalized learning experience within a community hospital at the forefront of growth in Miami and the surrounding areas.
Residents receive training in the full spectrum of family medicine, including management of acute and chronic conditions in adults and children, women’s health, sports medicine, health promotion and disease prevention.
Our program curriculum includes quality improvement and research projects and focuses on developing leadership and team-building skills through interprofessional teams and community engagement.

Program Application Requirements
Our program attracts, educates, and retains exceptional talent to serve the South Florida community.
Acceptance/admission to the program is contingent on the submission of all requested materials and meeting all eligibility requirements determined by the program.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
Residency Prerequisites
- Complete medical school within the last five years, one year of graduate medical training in an ACGME-accredited internship or residency program within the past year or employment for six months of the last year in a clinically relevant position in the U.S. or similar system
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Preferred to have passed USMLE Step 1 and the Clinical Knowledge section of Step 2 within one attempt by February 1st
- Preferred to have passed both level 1 and level 2 of COMLEX within the first attempt; must have passed by February 15
- Applicants must be eligible for an unrestricted training license to practice medicine in Florida
Application Requirements
- Completed ERAS and Supplemental ERAS application
- USMLE or equivalent score(s)
- Personal statement
- Three letters of recommendation from at least two family medicine faculty members from medical school, affiliate hospital or elective rotation written within the last 18 months
- Letter from medical school dean or medical student performance evaluation
- Medical school transcripts
- International medical school graduates must have a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates
