Living in Miami

You won't have a hard time convincing family, friends and loved ones to visit you in Miami. As a resident you will dedicate many hours to training but it is important to maintain a healthy work life balance where you can relieve stress. You will always have many options when it comes to making the most of your down time. Miami has something for everyone.

The sun is shining in Miami nearly year round. South beach is home to the eclectic Lincoln Road where you can enjoy people watching or mingling with locals and tourists in the many shops, cafés, restaurants and lounges.

If South Beach is too high energy for and you still want to make the most of the amazing weather, you can head over to Biscayne Bay, Crandon Park and other neighboring beaches and national parks that are better suited for a mellow mood and are family and pet friendly too. You can enjoy water activities such as boating, fishing, paddle boarding, jet skiing, kayaking and you can even go swimming with the dolphins. On the weekends you will find many people running, cycling, golfing, playing tennis and skating to stay fit and spend some time outdoors.

Miami celebrates its culturally diverse community through its culinary delights, music, dance and growing art and fashion scene. There are succulent flavors for every palate. You can find premium steak houses, Latin, Caribbean, European, Asian, fusion cuisine and some of the freshest sea food in trendy high end restaurants with beautiful views to cozy family owned spots that may be smaller in size but still large in flavor. The art scene in Miami has a lot to offer throughout the year. The Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center of Miami-Dade County features critically acclaimed performances that include dance, Broadway, orchestras, symphonies and theatrical performances from around the world. Art Basel takes place every year in Miami and is the premier international art show for modern and contemporary works. There is also the annual Coconut grove arts festival which is a great event for family and friends in a more casual, outdoors setting. If you can't wait a year to take in unique works of art, Miami has monthly art walks in different neighborhoods such as Coral Gables, Wynwood, Miami Beach, Brickell, and the Miami Design District. Art Galleries open up their doors to the public and large crowds turn out to share the evening immersed in an atmosphere full of creative expression in many different forms. If you want to join in on the fun you can learn how to salsa, merengue, flamenco, tango, belly dance and afro-Brazilian dance just to name a few.
