Abstract Guidelines and Submissions

MINDS serves as a premier forum to explore mental health innovations and advance a shared mission to improve overall well-being. The symposium aims to reduce stigma by fostering empathy, understanding and acceptance; raise awareness of mental health challenges and available community resources; encourage open dialogue among community members, clinicians, advocates and individuals with lived experience; and promote collaboration among key partners to strengthen local mental health support networks.

Attendees may submit an abstract for a poster presentation. Abstracts must be 300 words or fewer. References and figures, typically included in full poster presentations, should not be included in the abstract.

There is no limit on abstract submissions. However, due to scheduling constraints, it is unlikely that more than one poster per presenter will be accepted.

Poster presenter and author requirements

• The presenting author must be listed on the original abstract, even if the presenter changes later.
• Authors may be added only through Monday, Aug. 31, 2026. To preserve academic integrity and ethical review standards, no authors will be added after the submission deadline.
• If an abstract is accepted, the presenting author must notify the MINDS administrative team of scheduling conflicts by Friday, Sept. 4, 2026. After this deadline, adjustments will be considered only for unforeseen circumstances that prevent attendance at the assigned time.
• The presentation schedule will not be changed once it is posted on the official symposium website.
• Poster submissions that do not include required financial disclosures will be rejected and removed if the MINDS administrative team and program committee chair have reasonable grounds to suspect an author is receiving direct or indirect financial support from a related commercial entity.
