Junior Doctors of Tomorrow Summer Program

Join our Junior Doctors of Tomorrow (JDOT) Program for an immersive journey into the world of medicine. This week-long summer enrichment program is designed to provide high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds with an opportunity to explore a career in health care. Featuring an array of hands-on clinical workshops, interactive learning sessions, and exposure to diverse medical professionals – JDOT aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attributes needed to succeed on the path to medicine. The program limit is 30 students per session.

Who should apply?

As a medical school that prepares socially accountable, community-based physicians and scientists, we strongly encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities to apply. This opportunity best serves students from low-income households whose parents did not attend college and/or students who have not had exposure to health care professionals.

Application Requirements

  • 500-word essay (prompt provided in application)
  • Letter of recommendation from teacher (preferably math or science) or guidance counselor who can verify student is in good academic standing with no history of disciplinary issues
  • High school transcript with most current grades and GPA
