Application Process
- How do I apply for a residency or fellowship?
Applications for most of our programs are accepted through AAMC ERAS. For specific program information, select the residency or fellowship you’re interested in and read the application requirements.
- Do I need a background check before beginning my residency/fellowship?
All prospective applicants will undergo an expanded level II criminal background check as part of the pre-employment verification for eligibility for a trainee position.
This action was instituted in the interest of patient safety and to meet the credentialing requirements of our clinical partners.
- What is the interview format at the Wertheim College of Medicine?
Most programs use a traditional one-on-one interview format but may vary by specialty. Please contact the program-specific coordinator or supervisor for more interview details.
- What should I do after my interview?
Remember to send your interviewers a thank you message and connect with one of our program coordinators. They’re happy to answer your program-specific questions.
