Clinical Collaboration
While primarily a research and education department, we maintain strong collaborative relationships with clinical partners at Baptist Health and Nicklaus Children’s to ensure that our discoveries translate into patient care advancements.
Education and Training
We mentor and train pre-doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty. Our programs are designed to develop the skills necessary for independent research, academic leadership, and scientific innovation.
By fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment, we prepare the next generation of leaders in cellular and molecular medicine.

Research
We conduct research to understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying human diseases. Our work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration with other FIU colleges and clinical partners, to bridge basic science and clinical applications. Research areas include disease mechanisms, therapeutic development, and translational studies directly impacting patient care.
Faculty & Staff
Our faculty are accomplished researchers and educators dedicated to advancing knowledge in cellular and molecular medicine. Together, we foster collaboration, provide mentorship, and drive discovery that improves human health.
