The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce celebrated trailblazing women at its 5th Annual City National Bank Badass Women of the Year Awards, honoring leaders who break barriers and pave the way for future generations. Among the honorees, Dr. Elizabeth Etkin-Kramer, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, recognized in the category of Healthcare, Wellness, and Science.

A gynecologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center with more than 30 years of clinical experience, Etkin-Kramer has dedicated most of her career to cancer prevention, focusing on breast and ovarian cancer risk assessment, management, and genetic testing. She founded Yodeah, a nonprofit that educates the Ashkenazi Jewish community about their increased hereditary cancer risk and provides access to affordable genetic testing.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, her impact extends nationally as co-founder of the Prevent Hereditary Cancer Coalition and as a member of the advisory board for DenseBreast-info.com, where she helps physicians and patients better understand breast cancer risk and screening.
