Connect with MINDS to Advance Mental Health Innovation and Community Impact
MINDS brings together clinicians, researchers, advocates and community leaders to explore forward-thinking approaches to mental health care. Grounded in integrated, person-centered models, the symposium highlights the importance of collaboration, early intervention, resilience and culturally responsive strategies that reflect the lived experiences of communities.
Through engaging discussions, educational programming and opportunities for meaningful connection, MINDS serves as a platform to advance awareness, reduce stigma and strengthen regional support networks across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

“Mental illness should never be met with shame. It should be met with compassion, understanding and the courage to seek help. When we let go of stigma, we open the door to healing, and moving forward with innovation and treatment becomes not a sign of weakness, but a powerful act of hope.”

Patricia Junquera, M.D.
Chair, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health
