Developing the Doctors of Tomorrow

The Wertheim College of Medicine partnered with the Miami VA Healthcare System to create a visionary internal medicine residency program with a focus on primary and ambulatory care.

Our comprehensive, academically rigorous curriculum is rooted in the ACGME Core Competencies and provides opportunities for residents to participate in research, quality improvement, advocacy and health care administration.

The program includes:

  • Inpatient care with outstanding academic faculty
  • State-of-the-art primary care-based outpatient clinics
  • Additional experience will be obtained with Jackson Memorial Hospital to take advantage of their expertise in several key domains.
