Vanessa Lewis Ramos, M.D.

In her role as assistant program director for the FIU/Baptist Health Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Vanessa Lewis Ramos teaches courses including Introduction to Palliative Care, Symptom Management in Palliative Care, and Emergencies in Palliative Care. She also serves as coordinator for the palliative care elective rotation for internal medicine residents. A board-certified hospice and palliative medicine physician, she practices at Baptist Health South Florida, providing inpatient care for patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses.

Lewis Ramos has extensive experience in academic medicine, previously serving as faculty at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, where she led residency and fellowship education initiatives and developed curricula focused on communication and symptom management.
