How to Apply

The admissions cycle opens on April 24, 2025, and ends on January 15, 2026. Applications are reviewed continuously until the cohort is filled.

  • Step 1

MPAS utilizes the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA).

Applicants are required to complete the CASPA application for Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine Master in Physician Assistant Studies.

    • CASPA application opens on April 24, 2025, and closes on January 15, 2026.
    • Applications need to be verified by CASPA by January 15, 2026, to be considered.

Applicants should ensure all documentation is submitted to CASPA prior to January 15, 2026, as verification can take up to 30 days and only verified applications will be evaluated.

    • Transcripts for prerequisite courses completed after submission need to be uploaded and grades need to be self-reported in CASPA application and unofficial transcripts emailed to paschool@fiu.edu before January 15, 2026

(For questions concerning the CASPA application visit CASPA FAQs or contact CASPA at (617) 612-2080).

  • Step 2

Applicants are required to complete the FIU supplemental application and pay the supplemental application fee of $30.

Note: my.fiu.edu accounts are only active when you are matriculated into the MPAS program. There is no need to submit additional documents as the program evaluates only documents received in CASPA.

Important Note: Complete Steps 1 and 2 listed above in this specific order:

  1. Enter all CASPA information
  2. Complete and submit supplemental application
  3. Take a picture/snapshot of your Transaction Approval for the supplemental application and upload in CASPA
  4. Submit payment to CASPA
  • Step 3

The Admissions Committee will review applications and invite selected students to be interviewed. After the interview, the Admissions Committee will cumulate scores, review and evaluate the applications and select the students for the class.

  • Step 4

Selected students receive conditional letters of acceptance from MPAS and are recommended to the FIU Office of Admissions for admission to the program. Upon completion of the graduate admission process, students will receive an official acceptance letter.

Upon receipt of the official acceptance letter, matriculated students are required to pay the non-refundable Professional Development Seminar seat deposit fee of $715. Additional matriculation details will be provided by the MPAS program.
