Dr. Tom Nguyen, an internationally recognized expert in minimally invasive heart surgery, oversees the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences. In addition to his academic leadership, Nguyen serves as chief medical executive of Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and holds the Barry T. Katzen Endowed Chair. He directs minimally invasive valve surgery and oversees cardiac surgery, cardiology, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology across Baptist Health’s 12-hospital network.
