Steven J. Ory, M.D.
Dr. Steven J. Ory joined the FIU COM faculty in 2008 and has served as course director for the Reproductive Systems (BMS6637) course and a participant in the obstetric and gynecology clerkship. He is a reproductive endocrinologist who completed training at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine and Duke University after graduating from Baylor College of Medicine.
Prior to joining the FIU faculty he had academic appointments at Duke and Northwestern and served as Chairman of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester for 10 years before entering private practice in South Florida. He is a past president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine , the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Society for Humanism in Medicine and associate editor of Fertility and Sterility. He also serves on the volunteer faculty of the University of Miami and has active research interests in assisted reproductive technology (ART), polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis. He has served on a number of national and international committees pertaining to his specialty. Ory has been included in America's Top Doctors and Marquis Who's Who in American Medicine and in the World for over 10 years and is the recipient of awards from several universities.
