Biography
Dr. Nana Garba is a supervising faculty physician for the Green Family Foundation Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program (NeighborhoodHELP). She leads interprofessional student teams on household visits to communities facing socioeconomic challenges in Miami-Dade County, fostering hands-on learning and community-based care.
Garba also serves as course director for the Community Engaged Physician I, II, and III courses, the Community Medicine Practicum, and the Policy and Advocacy focus. Her teaching addresses health disparities while equipping future physicians to effectively engage with diverse populations.
In addition to her teaching, Garba researches community health and medical education, focusing on bridging academia and clinical practice to enhance care for communities with low socioeconomic status.
