Maryse Anne Pedoussaut, MD

Dr. Maryse A. Pedoussaut is a board-certified family medicine and obesity medicine physician. She teaches medical students, concentrating on clinical skills and emphasizing motivational interviewing. At FIU, she introduced mindfulness and stress reduction workshops.

As faculty in the Green Family Foundation Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program (NeighborhoodHELP), Dr. Pedoussaut conducts virtual household visits with medical, nursing, physician assistant and social work students. She leads the group health care visits for household members who are prediabetic and diabetic, and she sees patients aboard the program’s Mobile Health Center in Hialeah.

Pedoussaut is the faculty advisor for the American Medical Student Association chapter and the Lifestyle Medicine Group, and co-advisor for MedSWISH, a student-run community service organization that provides health screenings and education to the community.
