Liana Perez Loughlin teaches Ethical Foundations of Medicine, co‑leads the Bioethics Focus Track, and contributes to OB‑GYN didactics and Osler Fridays.
As a medical jurisprudence and bioethics expert, Loughlin focuses on informed consent, the right to refuse care, patient autonomy, medical malpractice, privacy and confidentiality, and law as a social determinant of health.
She helps future physicians avoid ethical errors and malpractice claims—while highlighting the practical intersection of law and medicine.
