Dr. Kate Semidey teaches medical students in the Clinical Skills I & II and Organ Systems Courses and as a pediatric clerkship preceptor. She is also the director and founder of the Panther Cub Pediatrics Pathway to Medicine Program, a clinical pathway for pre-medical students with limited medical career opportunities.
Semidey serves as the director of pediatrics at UHI CommunityCare Clinic, a free clinic that serves uninsured and low-income patients. She is also president of the Miami Pediatric Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides funding and support for medical services for children in Miami.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
