Keith S. Hechtman, M.D.

Dr. Keith Hechtman teaches and mentors future physicians in sports medicine and orthopedic care, drawing from decades of clinical and academic experience. Hechtman is board-certified in both sports medicine and orthopedic surgery.

His work specializes in arthroscopy and treatment of injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle. As FIU’s head team physician, he provides care for student-athletes while advancing clinical education in the field.

In addition to his role at FIU Medicine, Hechtman is part of Baptist Health Orthopedic Care and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group. He has been named one of the Best Doctors in America multiple times since 2003 and continues to be active in research, presentations, and publications on orthopedic injuries.
