John Uribe, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and minimally invasive surgical procedures for degenerative knee, shoulder, and elbow conditions. Uribe is the team physician for the Florida Panthers hockey team and the Miami Dolphins football team.

In addition to his role as chair of the HWCOM Department of Orthopedics, Uribe is the chief medical executive for the Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and a Baptist Health Medical Group member. 

Uribe was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and served as chief of orthopedics at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. A member of multiple professional organizations and societies, he is well-published and lectures extensively in the U.S. and abroad.
