Dr. John Rock is the founding dean of FIU Medicine. He took on this role in 2006 to help establish a new allopathic medical school in the United States. He brought with him decades of leadership experience from institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Emory University, and the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where he served as chancellor.
Rock is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with a subspecialty in reproductive endocrinology.
