Dr. Joel Collazo teaches clinical medicine to students in the Physician Assistant program.
Collazo has over 20 years of experience in medical education, having held faculty positions at Miami Dade College, Broward College, and Barry University.
Before working in the United States, he practiced medicine in Cuba and taught histology to medical, nursing, and medical technology students at the Universidad de la Habana. He later worked as a rural physician in Peru and taught epidemiology and public health at the Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública del Perú in Lima.
