Dr. Guillermo Izquierdo Pretel teaches and mentors students pursuing an internal medicine residency. He also helps design the inpatient medicine curriculum and works with students and residents on case reports, presentations and publications.
Izquierdo Pretel is part of the core FIU residency faculty for the Florida International University/Veterans Affairs Primary Care Internal Medicine Program, with sites at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He also serves on the Jackson Memorial Hospital Medication Safety Committee.
