Dr. Emery Salom is an associate professor of gynecologic oncology and clerkship director for obstetrics and gynecology at FIU Medicine. He oversees the educational experience of third- and fourth-year medical students and serves as the on-site residency director of obstetrics and gynecology at Community Health of South Florida, Inc., in Miami.
A leader in minimally invasive gynecologic oncology, Salom was among the first surgeons to perform a single-incision robotic hysterectomy. He has performed thousands of advanced robotic, laparoscopic, and radical procedures and serves as a preceptor in advanced robotic surgery, training physicians in gynecologic oncology and complex pelvic reconstruction.
