Biography
Dileepkumar Veeragoni’s research focuses on neuroinflammatory signaling pathways, impaired autophagy-related cell responses, inflammation, and immune senescence associated with HIV, antiretroviral drugs, and opioids.
Before joining FIU, Veeragoni studied the neural cancer communication loop in esophageal adenocarcinoma progression at the University of Kansas Medical Center. His work also involved identifying target resistance proteins and biomarkers, as well as repurposing FDA-approved drugs for the treatment of esophageal adenocarcinoma
