Professional Development
The professional development team is committed to meeting the needs of our medical educators and faculty across FIU Medicine and our clinical partners. We have cultivated a series of sessions targeted to those who teach our medical students and one for those who mainly teach residents and fellows.
We encourage faculty members to attend one of our Pro Tips Monthly professional development sessions or to contact our office if you would like a one-on-one consultation.

Sessions for UME educators
For medical school educators, we support their work with sessions for faculty as teachers. We offer sessions that cover the following topics: instructional methods, program evaluation, content curation, student assessment, and curriculum design and development.
Sessions for GME educators
For residency educators, we offer sessions that cover the following topics: education and evaluation; quality improvement, eliminating health inequities, and patient safety; fostering well being; and patient care based on practice-based learning and improvement efforts.
