About the Lab
The Chinnapaiyan lab investigates the pathophysiological mechanisms that suppress mucociliary clearance and promote lung inflammation in people with HIV exposed to cigarette smoke, while exploring CRISPR-based microRNA antagonism as a novel therapeutic strategy for HIV- and cigarette smoke–induced COPD.
