Paying for the Program

The estimated tuition and fees for the Graduate Certificate in Molecular and Biomedical Sciences (GCMBS) are $21,000* and may be paid in two to four installments per semester. Students can manage their payments through FIU OneStop.

Federal loans are not available for this program. However, students are encouraged to meet with the College of Medicine Office of Financial Assistance to explore available payment options.

Students currently enrolled in the GCMBS program can apply for the Tracey Weiler Scholarship during the Spring semester.

Students may also apply for scholarships and other funding opportunities by visiting the FIU Office of Scholarships.

Tracey A. Weiler, Ph.D. Educational Scholarship Fund

Dr. Sarah Sherman, a graduate of both the certificate and MD programs at the College of Medicine, created the Tracey A. Weiler, Ph.D. Educational Scholarship Fund to support students enrolled in the Certificate in Molecular & Biomedical Sciences program.

*All costs are estimated and subject to change. International students are welcome to apply. However, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for the guaranteed interview or acceptance into the College of Medicine MD program or the guaranteed interview for the MPAS program. Please note that a minimum cohort size is required to launch the program.
