Daniel Sartori, MD

Bio

Daniel Sartori, MD is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Sartori graduated from Swarthmore College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and economics and went on to receive his medical degree with honors from NYU Grossman. He remained at NYU to complete his Internal Medicine Residency training and was subsequently selected to serve as Senior Chief Resident. Dr. Sartori has worked clinically since this time as a teaching hospitalist at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn where he is Director of the NYU-Brooklyn Internal Medicine Residency Track.

Dr. Sartori’s program of research is focused on better understanding how medical students and residents learn in clinical workplaces and how new technologies including advances in informatics and artificial intelligence can enhance this. He recently started new roles as Director of Precision Medical Education in the Department of Medicine and affiliate faculty in the Institute for Innovations in Medical Education (IIME). In these roles, he helps develop and implement educational tools meant to make workplace learning more personalized and efficient.

Dr. Sartori has been recognized for his teaching and clinical skills; he has received the Internal Medicine Residency Program Inpatient Teacher of the Year award, was the 2024 Alpha Omega Alpha Outstanding Teacher as voted by graduating medical students at NYU, and is the 2023-2025 recipient of the Jeremiah A. Barondess Fellowship in the Clinical Transaction, awarded by the ACGME and New York Academy of Medicine.
