Leiann Palma, B.A., joined FIU HWCOM’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in July 2020. After graduating in 2014, Leiann served as a Maternal Child Health volunteer, for the United States Peace Corps, in Guatemala. Upon returning to the United States, she began developing her career in Public Health, dedicating her efforts to providing services for underserved communities.
Leiann’s professional background includes providing education and support to indigenous women in rural Guatemala, wellness coaching for migrant workers as well as, care coordination and program development for Opioid Use Disorder, HIV, and other infectious diseases.
