Before joining the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Wanetta "Bobby" Ghisiawan-Whittaker served as assistant director for Academic Advising at Miami Dade College -Kendall Campus where she developed her management skills. Prior to that, she was the senior academic advisor and an adjunct instructor for the Health Services Administration program at the FIU Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Ghisiawan-Whittaker is certified as an Appreciative Advising Coach. This type of coaching helps students find a major that aligns with their interests, skills, and values that will ultimately lead them to future academic and career success.
