Melissa Armas joined the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in December of 2010. She serves as the Clinical Clerkship Coordinator for the Department of Internal Medicine. She works with the Clerkship Director of Internal Medicine, the Assistant Clerkship Director of Internal Medicine, the Associate Dean for Clinical Medical Education, and the Senior Clerkship Coordinator in the management and development of the Period 3 Internal Medicine Clerkship as well as the Period 4 Internal Medicine Selectives and Electives. Prior to joining the College of Medicine, she served as a Public Health Intern with The AIDS Institute, a non-profit organization, where she managed the Florida HIV/AIDS Advocacy Network.
Armas received her PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Florida and holds a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management.
