Mariana Viera-Navarro is a physician assistant with 20 years of clinical experience who serves as an instructor for the MPAS program. She teaches endocrinology, immunology, dermatology, and rheumatology.
Prior to joining FIU in 2021, PA Viera-Navarro practiced in the fields of allergy and immunology, and functional medicine. She is the recipient of six consecutive laboratory excellence awards by COLA for her supervisory role in a high-complexity immunology laboratory. Her particular interest is in the evaluation and management of food allergies and anaphylactic reactions.
