Enrique S. Fernandez, M.D., M.S.Ed, FAAFP, is a board-certified family physician and medical educator in the MPAS program. He joined HWCOM in 2017. Fernandez served in the U.S. Public Health Service where he administered federal training-grant programs for primary care medical education health policy, faculty development, and medical education research.
He also served as director of the Division of Medicine in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and was the executive secretary for the Council on Graduate Medical Education (COGME). Fernandez is a past editorial board member of Family Medicine, the official journal of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
