Danny Lizano MSHS, PA-C, is a professor in the MPAS program. He is an active member in the Society of Critical Care Medicine and has served as a chair of the Society’s PA steering committee. Lizano previously worked in critical care medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. During his tenure at Montefiore, he was the director of critical care physician assistant education and director of the PA Postgraduate Residency in Critical Care. In 2015, Lizano achieved the honor of being the 9th PA to be inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine, and in 2016, he helped create a functioning Advanced Practice Provider Service line at Kendall Regional Medical Center. His professional interests continue to be teaching, promoting the role of physician assistants in critical care medicine, and the effective use of advanced practice providers.
